On behalf of the Derbyshire County Primary Care Trust (PCT), NLP has submitted an outline planning application for residential development at St Oswald’s Hospital, Ashbourne.
The Trust is transferring healthcare services from the site to a new development in the centre of Ashbourne. Once completed, the site will be surplus to healthcare requirements and it is the Trust's intention to dispose of it with the benefit of a residential planning permission. The capital receipt obtained from the disposal will be used to improve healthcare facilities in the area.
NLP Associate Director, John Mackenzie commented:- “We are pleased to be undertaking planning consultancy services for Derbyshire County PCT to help ensure that the objectives of its estate strategy are met. This surplus site has potential to accommodate a high quality housing development, which will make an important contribution to meeting housing needs in the area".
