NLP has secured planning permission for the use of the Grade II listed Guyzance Hall in Northumberland as a venue for functions. The hall forms part of the listed Guyzance Estate which was purchased last year by the Parker family after the previous owners of the Hall were unable to make the estate pay for itself as a private residence.
Commenting on the decision, NLP Associate Director Justine Matchett who appeared at the planning committee on behalf of the Parker Family said "despite objections from local residents, the committee recognised that diversification into the events business is necessary to secure the future of the estate and they accepted that the management regime we put forward will enable functions to operate without detriment to residential amenity". The decision will help to support the growth of tourism in Northumberland, whilst also delivering wider benefits to the local economy through the use of local companies and suppliers.
