NLP has been commissioned by Redcar and Cleveland Council to assist in obtaining planning permission for a new arts and media building on Redcar seafront. The proposed Tuned In! @ myplace will cater for young people from across the Borough, and include flexible performance space, radio and recording suites, and dance studios. Working alongside project managers Elliot Dent, and architects Howarth Litchfield Partnership(HLP), NLP are preparing sequential site and impact assessments, and providing advice on the Environmental Impact Assessment process.
NLP Associate Director Justine Matchett said "This is a unique and exciting project which draws upon our specialist planning expertise in a number of different areas".
A planning application is expected to be made in August 2010 and, if successful, construction will start later this year. NLP look forward to the new 'Redcar sound' hitting the airwaves!
