Training and Career Development
NLP has an active training programme geared towards defined personal objectives and career goals, to ensure that our professionals continue to renew and update their skills and knowledge-base.
We have an active graduate recruitment programme which aims to attract ambitious, motivated people with a strong academic record. Our graduate training programme ensures early exposure to a variety of work, so that a broad skills base is achieved from which to develop a successful career in planning, while the variety of work areas within the Company enable people to develop specialist expertise in their chosen area as their career progresses. Our team based approach to projects provides the support necessary for new recruits while allowing exposure to exciting and high-profile jobs.
Our workgroup structures and regular team meetings ensure all staff can contribute to and receive feedback on the direction of the Company.
Feedback from our employee opinion survey, undertaken in 2004, shows that the vast majority of our staff would recommend NLP as a good place to work. They feel that the Company is credible and respected within the property sector and by clients and, in turn, employees feel respected for their own contribution. Social Events
NLP’s calendar of social events is busy and varied, with a programme of spring, summer, autumn and Christmas socials and a number of “unofficial” events in between. These events have involved dragon boat racing, waterskiing, and horse racing along with quiz evenings and wine tasting. In recent years, the Trust has also arranged weekend study tours to Berlin and Paris for the whole Company.
